DESCRIPTION:\n\nJoin us for the first Sussex County Be the One Workshop —
  a transformative initiative aimed at empowering allies to take meaningful
  actions that support LGBTQ+ youth.  The workshop takes place on March 30
 th from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the Lewes Public Library.   Bring a lunch

 t on facebook.\nAbout Be the 1\nThis campaign is inspired by the research 
 from The Trevor Project\, which reveals a remarkable statistic: having jus
 t one affirming adult in their lives reduces the risk of suicide among LGB
 TQ+ youth by 40%. This is a profound reminder that each of us has the powe
 r to make a life-saving difference. This is a Call to Action!\n\n\n\n\nBe 
 the 1 is about turning intention into action. Many people raise their hand
 s to declare themselves allies but aren’t always sure what steps to take
  to make a real difference.  This campaign bridges that gap by providing 
 accessible\, actionable guidance through free\, in-person workshops\, remo
 te workshops\, resourcing designed to inspire\, educate\, and empower alli
 es.\nWhy Allies Matter\nLGBTQ+ youth face unique challenges\, including hi
 gher rates of anxiety\, depression\, and feelings of isolation. While syst
 emic changes are essential\, individual connections can create immediate\,
  life-changing impact. An affirming word\, a listening ear\, or even simpl
 y showing up with empathy can be the lifeline a young person needs.\n\nAll
 ies play a critical role in creating safe spaces where LGBTQ+ youth feel s
 een\, valued\, and supported. By stepping into the role of an affirming ad
 ult\, allies don’t just offer temporary relief—they create a foundatio
 n for resilience and hope.\nFree Workshops to Empower Allies\nTo ensure al
 lies are equipped to make this impact\, the Be the 1 Campaign will host a
  series of free workshops\, open to anyone eager to learn how to better su
 pport LGBTQ+ youth. These workshops will be led by passionate facilitators
  from partner organizations\, each bringing expertise\, compassion\, and a
 ctionable strategies to the table.\n\nParticipants will leave with a deepe
 r understanding of the challenges LGBTQ+ youth face and practical tools th
 ey can implement in their daily lives. Topics will include fostering affir
 ming conversations\, combating stigma\, and building inclusive environment
 s at home\, work\, and in the community.\nJoin the Movement\nThe Be the 1
  Campaign is more than just workshops\; it’s a movement of hope and emp
 owerment. Whether you’re a teacher\, parent\, neighbor\, or friend\, you
 r willingness to learn and act can be a beacon of support for LGBTQ+ youth
