SUMMARY:From One Place To Another
DESCRIPTION:Cinema Arts Theatre presents a special Women's History Month Sc
reening of From One Place to Another: Emma Goldman Clinic Stories\, from
local filmaker LeAnn Erickson.  In these challenging times we face\, this
documentary showcases the power of women supporting women\, and provides
inspiration for this moment.   LeAnn will be present for a discussion fo
llowing the film.\n\nIn January 1973\, the Roe vs. Wade Supreme Court deci
sion swept across America\, changing women’s lives as it politicized wom
en’s bodies.  At the same time in Iowa City\, Iowa\, a group of young
feminists met to form a women’s health clinic dedicated to the tenets of
self-help and access to abortion.  These are their stories.\nThe screen
ing takes place on March 10th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.\nclick here to purchas
