SUMMARY:Volunteer Orientation: Point in Time Survey
DESCRIPTION:Volunteers are needed to assist with the Point in Time Survey.
   The volunteer orientation will take place on January 11th from 2:00 PM 
 to 4:00 PM.   The survey itself will be conducted on the evening of Janu
 ary 24th and the morning of January 25th.\n\nThe Point in Time (PIT) surve
 y is a federally mandated annual event that aims to identify the number of
  people experiencing homelessness. The survey collects data on how many pe
 ople are experiencing unsheltered or sheltered homelessness and what facto
 rs contributed to their current situation.\n\nThe survey is particularly i
 mportant for marginalized groups such as LGBTQ youth\, who are disproporti
 onately affected by homelessness due to a range of factors including famil
 y rejection\, discrimination\, and lack of access to support networks.\n\n
