SUMMARY:Stand with Goolee's
DESCRIPTION:You are invited to come show your love and support for Goolee's
Grille and the legendary Goolee's Drag Brunch on Sunday July 20th. As you
may have heard\, members of St. Ann's Church will be engaging in a peacef
ul prayer vigil and protest of the Goolee's Drag Brunch\, due to some misg
uided ideas they have about the show and the LGBTQ+ community at large.\n\
nIt is disappointing to see members of a faith community demonstrate again
st a beloved locally owned business that celebrates and supports our vibra
nt local LGBTQ+ community. Our peaceful counter-protest will gather outsid
e of Goolee's starting at 11:15 PM and stay for about an hour\, or as long
as the protesters remain. You are encouraged to show up wearing your rain
bow-finest attire (It is Rehoboth Beach Pride Weekend\, after all!) and to
bring signs to demonstrate your support of Goolee's\, of drag queens\, an
 d of the LGBTQ+ community.\n\nThis event is co-sponsored by Sussex Pride\,
Delaware Anti-Violence Project\, Speak Out Against Hate (SOAH)\, Indivisi
ble Delaware\, Claire Snyder-Hall\, Delaware Coastal Beach Buddies\, and R
ehoboth Beach Pride.\n\nPlease note\, the Drag Bunch is sold out\, so you
can no longer purchase tickets to the event. The Goolee's gift shop will b
 e open\, however.
