The Delaware Anti-Violence Project works to prevent violence against LGBTQ+ individuals and advocate for survivors in Delaware. Join us for our monthly meeting. Our guest for this meeting will be Dan McBride, Director of the Division of Civil Rights and Public Trust, Delaware Department of Justice.
About Dan McBride
Married with a 5 year old Daughter and a 2 year old Daughter, Dan was born and raised in Wilmington, DE, and graduated from Thomas McKean High School, theUniversity of Miami (FL), and the Penn State University, Dickinson School of Law before
beginning his legal career with the Delaware Department of Justice in 2007. He spent 16 years in the DE DOJ’s New Castle County Criminal Division before moving to lhis current position. During that time, I amassed nearly 60 felony jury trials.
Mr. McBride hasheld the following supervisory positions within the New Castle County Criminal Division:
- Head of the Violent Criminal Enterprise Unit (focused on the prosecution of gangs and large-scale drug trafficking organizations)’
- Assistant Unit Head of the Homicide Unit (nearly a dozen homicide trials)
- Assistant Unit Head of the Wilmington Trial Unit
- Assistant Unit Head of the New Castle County Felony Trial Unit
