Carolanne Deal (she/they) is a museum professional, queer historian and educator based in Delaware. She was the lead researcher on the LGBTQ+ History of Delaware: We Have Always Been Here, Research & Digital Engagement Project. They are also the founder of @DelawareQueerHistory on Instagram where they share the untold, or previously covered up, stories of Delaware’s queer community.
Jackson Salasky is the President of PFLAG’s Wilmington/Northern Delaware Chapter and a proud member of the LGBTQ community. Jackson started his activism endeavors by adding his voice to both local and national protests and marches. Presently, he serves as co-advisor to Colors, a gender sexuality alliance at a local community college. A tireless advocate for equality, he is honored to be a member of his employer’s Equity Committee. He actively leads LGBTQ+ professional development for colleagues and brings inclusive education to local organizations.
