Join us to learn about the needs of LGBTQ+Youth in Delaware on Saturday March 23rd. Sussex Pride is proud to partner with I Am Me Inc., to host this event to hear directly from a diverse group of LGBTQ+ Youth and Young Adults about the issues they face in our state. This event is for individuals of all ages. We especially hope adults will come join us to listen and learn about the needs of LGBTQ+ Youth in our communities.
Opening Remarks will be provided by State Senator Marie Pinkney. Sen. Pinkney currently works as a social worker/case manager at ChristinaCare. She has dedicated her career to advocating alongside families seeking quality healthcare, access to resources, educational support, and government policies that support them. Sen. Pinkney became the first African American LGBTQ+ person ever elected to the Delaware Senate in 2020.
The panel will be moderated by Dan Cruce, Chief Operating Officer at United Way of Delaware. Panelists will include Spencer Camlin, Vienna Cavazos, Lamar Angel Kellam, Bailey Weaver-Ronk, and Jayden Taylor.
Join us at the MOT Senior Center in Middletown, Delaware (300 S Scott St, Middletown, DE 19709). Doors will open at 1:00 PM. The Seminar will begin at 2:00 PM. Light refreshments will be provided.
