Speaker Bio
Carolanne Deal (she/they) is a museum professional and Delaware queer historian. They are the creator of @DelawareQueerHistory on Instagram and were the lead researcher on the state’s pioneering LGBTQ+ History of Delaware Research & Digital Engagement Project. With a background in Art History and Museum Studies, her public history work aims to uplift underrepresented histories.
Carolanne is passionate about sharing Delaware’s queer history with the public, with the hope of inspiring queer folks to feel connected to local history. They are available for Delaware queer history lectures and work on a sliding scale.
