The Sussex Pride Health Committee will meet next on Janury 11th at 3:00 PM on Zoom.
The committee is a coalition of nonprofit organizations, healthcare providers, and community members working together to eliminate LGBTQ+health disparities in Sussex County.
We have two main foci for the first meeting.
- Continue our plans for LGBTQ+ Health Needs Assessment for Sussex County. Sussex Pride hopes to do a needs assessment for the county to better understand how we can support our community. This would include quantitative and qualitative data, and evaluations about key facilities including schools and senior centers.
- Discuss how we can best connect LGBTQ+ folks, and specifically transgender community members, to the services they need, including our work on an LGBTQ+ healthfare tentatively scheduled for March.
