International Day of Lesbian Visibility is an annual, global event, also known as Lesbian Visibility Day. This year’s 2023 International Day of Lesbian Visibility takes place on April 26. This day is meant to celebrate, recognize, and bring visibility to lesbian-identifying members of the LGBTQ+ community. It’s also about elevating and honoring this unique community that is historically overlooked and dismissed because members are both women and queer.
Lesbian Visibility Day was established in 2008 as a way for lesbians to be empowered and celebrated. It is observed annually on April 26th.
