National Youth HIV & AIDS Awareness Day (NYHAAD) is observed each year on April 10 to educate the public about the impact of HIV on young people. In the United States, 21% of new HIV diagnoses in 2019 were among young people aged 13-24. Almost half of young people living with HIV do not yet know they have the virus.
