Born this Way Foundation Supports Sussex Pride & Launches New Mental Health Tool

Sussex Pride is one of many organizations that will be receiving a grant from the Born This Way Foundation.

Born This Way Foundation leverages innovative programming and partnerships to model, convene, and support healthy conversations about mental wellness, to connect youth with resources and services that support their mental health – online and offline, and to encourage and build communities that understand and prioritize mental and emotional wellness.

Sussex Pride is one of 132 organizations across the country that will receive a grant of $3,765.  We are grateful for their support!

Born this way foundation has also launched a new mental health resource: The Be There Certificate is a free, self-paced online mental health course available in English, French and Spanish. The Be There Certificate teaches young people (and anyone!) how to recognize when someone might be struggling, understand their role in supporting that person and learn how to connect them to the help they need and deserve. In a world where hope, peace and affirmation often feel hard to come by, this resource (and the work of the foundation) serves as a reminder that it’s OK to not be OK and that community, support and love exist for us all.

Born This Way Foundation, co-founded and led by Lady Gaga and her mother, Cynthia Germanotta, supports the mental health of young people and works with them to build a kinder and braver world.  Learn how the Foundation encourages people to practice kindness toward themselves and their communities through its website and its storytelling platform Channel Kindness at
