My LGBTQ+ hero is Carl Nassib because he is the first out NFL player. I look up most to those who strive to make a difference in our community, particularly the wonderful people involved in Sussex Pride. I believe their positivity and great events have an important impact on our community.

What is your volunteer role at Sussex Pride and what do you like most about it?

I am currently the Vice Chair and I am a co-chair of the Rehoboth Beach Pride Planning Committee. I enjoy being able to make connections with the community and to be able to network to spread awareness of Sussex Pride.

When was the first time you went to a Pride Event?  What do you remember about it?

The first time I went to a Pride Event was Rehoboth Beach Pride in 2024. I remember being in awe of the scope of the event, with vendors, workshops, performers, and an overall lively atmosphere.
