LGBTQ people already face increased risk of violence, including by an intimate partner violence when compared to non-LGBTQ populations. In one study 44% of lesbians and 61% of bisexual women experienced rape, physical violence, or stalking by an intimate partner, compared to 35% of straight women. *
Join us for a conversation about intimate partner violence in the LGBTQ+ Community. We will hear from Jacqueline Sterbach, Executive Director of What is Your Voice, Inc. We’ll talk about our experiences here in Delaware around intimate partner violence, learn about resources that exist in our community, and how we can work together to better advocate for and support survivors.
This workshop takes place Saturday July 20th at 10:30 AM at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center and is part of Rehoboth Beach Pride activities.
