Sussex Pride Faith will hold a planning meeting on Thursday January 22nd on Zoom hosted by Rev. Carla Christopher of the Community Lutheran Church. Sussex Pride Faith is a network of faith leaders and interested community members that provides spiritual wellness and community resources for LGBTQ+ individuals in Delaware. It is designed to be an inclusive space for people who identify as LGBTQ+ and are seeking to explore their spirituality, connect with affirming religious traditions, or find healing from past religious trauma.
Some of the things we will be discussing at the meeting are:
- Exploring the possibility of a Pride Interfaith Service on the Beach as part of Rehoboth Beach Pride this year
- Organizing a gathering of LGBTQ+ and allied Faith Leaders at the Rehoboth Beach Pride Festival
- Expanding our liturgical resources. Right now we have a list of liturgical resources for Trans Day of Remembrance, and we hope to add to have additional resources for Pride Services and World AIDS Day Services
- Incorporating the voices of LGBTQ+ faith leaders into the discussion about LGBTQ+ equality in our state.
