Please join us at the Cape Henlopen Pavilion Gordons Pond for the annual Memorial day Cookout honoring our LGBTQ+ Veterans and Servicemembers. Come enjoy great food and music and connect with other members of the community!
We will be grilling hot dogs and have potato salad, coleslaw, chips and dessert. Water and sodas for sale. This is a fundraiser for the Military Women’s Memorial. You are also welcome to bring anything you would like to cook on the grill, or bring your own beverages, but the park requests you do not bring glass or bottles into the park, just cans. You are also welcome to bring frisbees, balls, games, or anything else to enjoy the day. This is an event for individuals 18 or older.
We will have community information and resources from the VA for our LGBTQ+ veterans and first responders.
There is a fee for parking at Gordon’s Pond (within Cape Henlopen State Park) from March 1 to November 30. Daily fees are generally $10 for out-of-state vehicles and $5 for Delaware-registered vehicles, payable via pay stations. You can also buy a seasonal pass at:
