Join us for a special National Coming Out Day Reception and Film Screening at the Cinema Art Theatre. The reception will begin at 4:00 PM and will include light refreshments. Following the reception join us for a screening of Two Eyes with Oscar-nominated actress Lilly Gladstone. Two Eyes is a 2020 independent drama film written and directed by Travis Fine. It is a cinematic triptych exploring themes of gender, love, and grief. The seemingly unrelated narrative spans three distinct time periods, ultimately interweaving to reveal a deep connection between the characters:
- 19th Century Montana: An artist (Benjamin Rigby) seeks inspiration and has his worldview challenged by his Native American guide.
- 1979 Barstow, California: A questioning youth’s mundane existence is enlivened by an exchange student with a deep lust for life.
- Present-Day Wyoming: A transgender teen works through self-destructive feelings with a non-binary therapist.
