As a result of low cancer screening rates and high cancer mortality rates among the LGTBQIA+ community in Delaware, the Delaware Division of Public Health (DDPH) is implementing a cancer screening advertising campaign to encourage members of this community to get screened for cancer.
DDPH has engaged Aloysius Butler and Clark (AB&C), a Wilmington-based independent marketing firm, to conduct focus groups to get input from Delawareans eligible for cancer screenings who identify as members of the LGTBQIA+ community.
Individuals from New Castle, Kent and Sussex counties are invited to attend an online discussion session to learn their opinions on communication messages. Many people find these types of discussions very thought-provoking.
Individuals who qualify and participate will receive a $100 Visa gift card for their time.
The focus groups will be held on:
- December 14, 7:00 to 8:30 pm (Kent and Sussex county residents)
- December 15, 7:00 to 8:30 pm (New Castle County residents)
Individuals interested in participating should email me directly at dbrond@abccreative.com to answer a few questions and determine if they are eligible to participate. The first 10 people who qualify will be sent an email from me with a Zoom link for a specific focus group.
