imi is a free, digital, science-backed mental health web tool for queer teens to learn coping skills, hear stories from real LGBTQ+ teens, and explore resources that affirm queer identities and boost mental health.
imi was developed by by Hopelab in partnership with CenterLink, the It Gets Better Project, and hundreds of LGBTQ+ young people.
imi supports and helps LGBTQ+ teens explore and affirm their identity and learn practical ways to cope with sexual and gender minority stress that are helpful, relevant, inclusive, and joyful. A randomized controlled trial done on imi shows that imi boosts positive coping skills and mindsets that are important for supporting the mental health of LGBTQ+ youth.
