  • LGBTQ+ youth in reducing their susceptibility to vape.
  • We are currently enrolling 1500 youth ages 13-20 to participate in a longitudinal study
  • lasting for 1 month where they will receive daily messages via texting.

Seeking LGBTQ+ youth to create study recruitment videos

  • We are seeking LGBTQ+ youth from your organization to film short videos (1 minute or shorter) to encourage other LGBTQ+ youth to join our study.
  • We will provide information about this study to include in the video.
  • However, youth will be able to use their creativity for making their video engaging.
  • Prior to filming, we may request content about their video to ensure they meet our study objectives and ethical guidelines.

Who can film videos?

  • Youth age 13-22
  • Identifies as LGBTQ+
  • Willing to have likeness used in recruitment for a study
  • Able to obtain parental consent if under 18

Will youth be compensated?

  • Youth will be compensated up to $100 for creating two separate videos.
  • Youth must be willing to sign a video release form and have parental consent if under the age of 18.
  • Videos can be filmed individually or as a group. All members of a group video must consent to having their likeness used.

Why is this important?

  • Benefits community by working to develop anti-vaping campaigns
  • Builds community by encouraging research that is youth informed
  • Everyone’s voice matters and we want to spread encourage participation in the study
